Bardia Public School

Location:
Dharawal Country / Bardia
Client:
NSW Department of Education

The new complex relocates the existing school’s facilities away from heavy traffic to create a community focal point catering for 1000 K-6 students in 44 Home Bases, including four special education units, a communal hall, community learning centre, sports pitch, and external play and learning areas. Innovative and flexible learning spaces encourage open learning with diverse learning environments while maximising external connections for student and staff movement. A new Central Courtyard is at the heart of the school. Publicly-accessible facilities such as the hall, learning centre and sports pitch are carefully sited to encourage community engagement out of school hours.
