The initiating idea of this competition proposal is that of the ‘treehouse’. A place of intimacy that is elevated above the activity of the ground. A protected place that is nurturing and special. A place that prioritises the life of the child over the adult. The concept draws from ideas of nature and a metaphorical stand of trees in a new urban environment. The competition held in late 2019 was won by BVN.
