St Pius X College commissioned TKD Architects to revamp its outdated classrooms and science labs, aiming to match the modern upgrades seen in Block C. Block A, comprising three floors of 1960s-era classrooms and labs, previously featured enclosed, dim, and uncomfortable spaces. The renovation introduced full-height glazed walls to enhance transparency and openness. Operable walls on two floors allow for flexible learning spaces that can accommodate entire year groups. Writable surfaces on walls, timber acoustic ceilings, and improved lighting create vibrant, collaborative environments. Updated audio-visual equipment and adaptable furniture facilitate dynamic learning. The project was completed during the school holiday break.
